The sun didn´t set at all in the Northern parts of Finland between May 16th and July 29th. So for 74 days in a village of Nuorgam the sun was above the horizon at night. It is an amazing feeling to see sun shining at night, and there is not much difference between a day and night.
Our nights here in Southern Finland are already dark, the sun sets at 22.18 and rises at 4.50.
The midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the summer months in places north of the Arctic Circle or south of the Antarctic Circle, when the Sun remains visible at the local midnight.
